This paper aims to analyze the structure and maintenance of Lusophone Wikipedia, in particular the political aspects mediated by a socio-technical framework. The methodology is netnography, supported by interviews, which were applied according to qualitative criteria. The questions were prepared in order to analyze the characteristics of the action of respondents in the project, as well as their motivations. The results indicate that the main activities are managing, formatting and insertion information. There is a political system that provides substrate for the formation of a domestic public opinion, that can influence the traditional political system, but such political motivation is not mentioned by the interviewees. In conclusion, it appears that is the nature of the work of the members of the main focus of analysis in this type of organization.
